Background check statictics on firearm buyers

Over 1 million background checks per month on Americans who want to buy a gun. The average monthly number of background check applications received by the FBI from people who intend to buy a firearm has increased dramatically this year. Reports say that the average monthly figure reached 1.25 million episodes during the 12 months period ending in March.
